‘Little People, Big World’ Just Broke a Guinness World Record

The Little People, Big World cast has a big reason to celebrate.

After 12 years on the air, the TLC series that documents the lives of the Roloff family broke the Guinness World Record for the most episodes of a family-focused reality television show, according to a press release.

The show got the honor after its 298th episode aired on June 27, 2017, but it has already topped that number with 307 episodes as of this year.

The entire Roloff family, including Matt, Amy, and their children Jeremy, Zach, Molly, and Jacob reunited to receive a plaque for the honor and to celebrate the historic moment.

“The Roloff family’s very exciting news to share with you all … We have, along with all of YOU, made history,” Matt wrote on Instagram Monday.

“We couldn’t have done it without all of you,” he continued, giving a shoutout to the fans. “If you have been a fan for a while, help us share the exciting news by sharing this photo on social media and mentioning how long you have been watching #LPBW. We appreciate you guys!”

The gathering was a rare sighting of the entire family together. After Molly got married to her husband, Joel Silvus, in 2017, she moved away from the Roloff’s farm in Oregon to Spokane, Washington.

Jacob also made a conscious choice not to appear on the show, but for different reasons. In 2016, he slammed the series and its producers for making up scenes for the sake of drama. “For me, noticing how the agenda of the crew doesn’t work well with the health and happiness of our family is what made me decide quite a while ago that I could not be a part of it as soon as I was able,” he said at the time.

However, both Molly and Jacob where there from the beginning, when Little People, Big World first premiered on TLC on March 4, 2006, so it’s nice to see them come back together to celebrate the special milestone. Congrats, Roloffs!
