Collinsville’s Blevins graduates U.S. Military Academy at West Point

Collinsville resident and Cadet Craig R. Blevins graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point on Saturday, May 26.

Blevins is the son of Rusty and Catherine Blevins of Collinsville, and grandson of Junior and Sandy Blevins of Owasso and Joy Hensley of Bartlesville.

Blevins is a 2014 Collinsville High School graduate. He received a Bachelor of Science in Business Management while at West Point.

He was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army within the Field Artillery branch and will report to Fort Sill for his first assignment.

The United States Military Academy is a four-year, co-educational, federal, liberal arts college located 50 miles north of New York City. It was founded in 1802 as America’s first college of engineering and continues as a leader-development institution.

Its mission is to educate, train and inspire the Corps of Cadets so that each graduate is a commissioned leader of character committed to the values of Duty, Honor, Country and prepared for a career of professional excellence and service to the nation as an officer in the United States Army.
